How I Learn SEO | SEO Education 101: Learn Search Engine Optimization with SEO Courses Online | How to Do Search Engine Optimization | Learning SEO Basics

For many business owners, learning how to do search engine optimization is an intimidating prospect. Fortunately, there are literally thousands of resources readily available to laymen and experts alike that will help make the quest to learn search engine optimization a fairly quick and painless task. There are many books, blogs, and Los Angeles advertising agencies to talk to in order to help you learn how to optimize your website for the search engines.

As with learning any new technique or trade, the most effective way I learn SEO is by starting simple. Learning SEO basics should be the first step in your SEO education. You can easily learn SEO basics by performing searches online with keyword phrases such as "SEO basics" and "learn search engine optimization". These searches usually yield very helpful results, providing links to general SEO information, SEO tutorials, and even SEO courses online. Due to the huge wealth of information now out there on the topic of SEO, it can become confusing and even a bit overwhelming to actually choose which links to follow, and decide what the best ways are to most efficiently navigate the course of your SEO education. Have no fear! By completing the following simple steps, you will be able to breeze through the process and be well on your way to SEO mastery in no time at all.

1. Begin the process by first conducting an online search using the keyword phrase "html basics tutorials.” Choose the most thorough and well organized html/CSS tutorial and complete it. Gaining a good grasp of html coding will be very helpful to you when you begin learning SEO later down the road.

2. If you already have a website, skip this step. If you don't already have a website, decide on a domain name for your site. It should be as relevant as possible to the majority of the content that will be contained on the site. Purchase the domain from a website that also provides hosting. Build a basic html website.

3. Sign up for Google Analytics to track not only the number of total visitors to your site, but also to gather other useful bits of information such as which pages are most frequently visited and how long guests tend to stay once they have landed on a given page.

4. Begin learning basic SEO information and techniques. There are many free online tutorials to assist you in this. Try searching "SEO basics", "SEO tutorials", and "SEO ebooks.”

5. Now comes the fun part! Apply the newly learned SEO techniques to your own website. Do this as soon as possible. You are likely to do a stellar job while the information is still very fresh in your mind.

6. Give the SEO that you just added about two weeks to marinate. This will give search engine spiders enough time to find your site, catalog it, and rank all of its pages. After the two weeks is up, log back in to your Google Analytics account. You will be astounded at how much the traffic to your site has increased. Give yourself a pat on the back; you have passed SEO Education 101 with flying colors.
