How to Learn to Search Engine Optimize: Online SEO Course | Learn Internet Marketing with an Optimization Book | How to SEO Your Site | Guide to Search Engine Optimization

Have you been reading a lot of tips and steps on how to increase search engine optimization in your site but still find it difficult to make the first step? Learning internet marketing surely requires knowledge of how to SEO your site. You may find several references and tools such as: an optimization book, online SEO course, or e-books on how to learn to search or a guide to search engine optimization.

Categorizing Concepts into Two

After reading several references, you may experience information overload. Simplifying what you learned by classifying the concepts or ideas that you have learned into two will help a lot. You may think that this is stating the obvious but read further and see how simple things will spell greater results. Go over your notes. In a sheet of paper, make two columns. In the first column, put those things that you should do and on the opposite, write some warning about overdoing it. Also put in the second column the things that you should avoid.

In an optimization book that you may have read or online course that you may have had, you have learned about the importance of keywords. While it is very helpful that you should have the most relevant words that most online surfers look for which are pertinent to your product, over using it may result to your site being banned. In most of the guide to search engine optimization references that you could find, the recommended keyword density is about 1 to 2%. Some give you a higher percentage like three to seven percent for the major keywords and one to two percent for those considered as minor keywords.

Focus on Content rather than keyword density

In order to be on the safe side, it is much better to focus on the content of your site rather than minding keyword density too much. Providing a unique and useful content will surely draw the attention of your website guest, getting them into reading more to know more about your product or services and encouraging them to visit your site again. Since many online surfers may already have an idea about keyword stuffing and SEO, you might be driving them away if your content, on its face, reveals that it is created for SEO rather than created for the benefit of your guests.

Learning to Search

So how would you find the word or words that are relevant to your product? You may use some keyword search tools. Google keyword tool is an example. Sometimes, it also pays to get the shoes of a particular buyer or client. If your business is on weight loss management, imagine that you are someone who is in need of weight loss solutions. What are the words that you would type in the search box?

Link Exchange

Link exchange is very helpful because it may entail your popularity in a particular field that your online business is all about. However, be wary about outbound links to sites that are considered suspicious. Make an effort to check the sites that you exchange link with.
